And The Winner Is...

The New Jersey Devils won the draft lottery vaulting them from the 8th selection to the 4th overall selection. After having a terrible season and looking to draft top 2, New Jersey has really battled back. Good Karma. Of course, this means that the Edmonton have retained the first overall pick! I can't help but love Bill Daley given the Oilers "success" in the draft lottery. It will be interesting to see who General Manager Steve Tambellini and Head Amateur Scout Stu Macgregor decide to select on June 24th. After seeing the whole Seguin/Hall debate last year we can really see the difference between a first overall and second overall selection. It really looks like they are gunning for Ryan Nugent-Hopkins but wouldn't be surprised if they pick Adam Larsson or Gabriel Landeskog with the 1st overall pick.
