Food Recommendation: Bánh mì

Bánh mì is essentially a vietnamese submarine. The sandwhich uses a vietnamese baguette that consists of both rice flour and wheat as well as thinly sliced pickled carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, daikon, different types of peppers and an assortment of sauces of meat/tofu fillings. These fillings are usually some form of chicken, pork, beef, ham and headcheese. Other less common forms include scrambled egg, turkey, and even meatballs. I should also mention that non-meaty ingredients commonly found conists of Pate, Fish Sauce, Tomatoes, and lettuce.

Anyways these things usually run from $3.50-$5.00 and are a cheap vietnamese alternative that is equivalent to the common cold cut found at a place like subway. So if subway doesn't have their $5 footlong promotion going it might be worth it to try something new and check out Bánh mì!

P.S. Beckster says "mine was yucky" but I really enjoyed mine!
