Music Recommendation: The Kooks

This english indie rock band was originally formed in 2004, yet only has two full albums released to date. The Kooks released "Inside In/Inside Out" in 2006 and followed it up with "Konk" in 2008. Their first album is 4x platinum in the United Kingdom while "Konk" is gold. Although they only have two albums they have also released a crazy amount of covers including "MGMT", "Coldplay", "Peter, Bjorn & John", "Gnarls Barkley", "Frank Sinatra", "The Kinks" and "Ace of Base".

Some of their singles include "She Moves in Her Own Way", "Ooh La", "Seaside", "Do You Wanna", "Shine On", "Sway" and "Always where I need to be". They list bands like the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Police and David Bowie as influences. The have also been compared to "The Strokes", "The Artic Monkeys", "The Libertines", "Razorlight" and "The Fratellis".
