Food Recommendation: Rouladen
Rouladen is a German dish that was once a common dish but is now usually only consumed as a festive dish. Considered to be a sunday family dish or a dish used for celebrations, Rouladen at its base are very thinly sliced rolls of beef. Generally a hot mustard is spread onto the slices of beef stuffed with gherkins (chopped pickles) and onions. The dish is left to cook in a rouladen sauce. The sauce is basically a gravy but can included beer or wines to spice it up a bit.
