Music Recommendation: Calvin Harris

Adam Richard Wiles or "Calvin Harris" is a scotish born DJ who has made a name for himself despite only releasing two albums. He released "I Created Disco" in 2007 and "Ready For The Weekend" in 2009. His most popular singles for these albums include "Flashback", "I'm Not Alone", "The Girls", "Colours", and "You Used To Hold Me". He has also remixed the "Ting Tings", "Katy Perry", "Mika", "Kelis", "Cutcopy" and "Zuper Blahq" amongst others.

Harris has a highly anticipated album coming out this year with "Awooga" sounding much different then his older stuff. The song was written and produced by himself and could lead into a completely different style. His new style is very club oriented and ventures past his 1980's sounding pop music. It's always cool when he has Bongo's, guitars, and what not. I still think he is one of the best DJ's out their even though he tends to attract a lot of douchebags (much the same way Deadmau5 does). He just finished his show in Vancouver last night and isn't expected to be back in Canada until December 27th when he plays in Calgary.
