Movie Recommendation: Office Space
Ron Livingston and Jennifer Aniston star in the 1999 classic comedy "Office Space". It has been referenced by several TV shows and movies (from the famous red stapler to the bashing of the fax machine) for their daily take on work and the problems the average cubical worker faces day to day. The movie starts off by poking fun of being stuck in a traffic jam and moving about an inch every couple of minutes... just like everyone else.
This movie is great because everyone can relate to the movie and hate about their life. Peter Gibbons (Ron Livingston) hates his job and thinks that every day is the same. He doesn't want to go to work and decides to see a hypnotist for his problems. However during his session the doctor dies after telling him to relax and be care free. So essentially for the rest of the movie Peter doesn't worry about any consequences and goes about his daily routine without worry.
He decides not to go to work, but he still gets paid for doing it lol. He only puts in about 15 minutes of work a day and no one even notices that he spends the entire day doing other things. In fact, he is actually promoted because he is unchallenged. This is a great film with a bunch of inside jokes that I can't stop quoting! Here's the trailer
